For five years I worked for one of the leading testing companies in the world. I traveled coast to coast and talked with thousands of school teachers and administrators. The overwhelming feeling is that no federal bureaucrats can know how to teach every group of student in the United States. When the Department of Education makes a decision to help one group it hurts many others. This had been a trend in the federal government for awhile in centrally planned programs.

Various reasons can be debated on the reasons why, but looking ahead this should not be our concern. Instead we should free ourselves to discover the most efficient and affordable energy sources for the future.

| ECONOMY, TAXES AND SPENDING |
Our most pressing issue today is the state of our economy. Our representatives in Washington have let spending get out of control. They have increased spending by 72% in the past 7 years. They have expanded government programs time after time, with no accountability to the people. All a government bureaucrat has to say is that their program is not working because of lack of funding, and our Congress throws more money at it. Their game of attaching earmarks (pork) to bills, giving funding to their special interests, and then borrowing the money from China to pay the bills has to end. They are bankrupting our children’s future and are weaken our dollar. A weak dollar causes prices of food, gas, gold and other commodities to skyrocket. You may have noticed lately, at the gas pump? Fiscal responsibility must be restored, and the Americans must be allowed the freedom to choose their own paths. As long as our politicians continue their addiction to reckless spending, they will only waste more and raise taxes on all Americans. The latest budget in front of Congress will increase the national debt another $400 billion over the next two years. It is completely irresponsible to mortgage our future. We must stop this spending!
